A while ago, we met with one of the park rangers at Widewater State Park because we wanted to make a difference in our community and create a place where we could meet, camp, hike, bike and help improve. It is our way of making Stafford a more beautiful place to live.
Jamie was enthusiastic about having a group to dedicate their time to assist both her, the staff and the Friends of Widewater in improving and maintaining the park. They have a lot of great things happening out there, so if you have not had the opportunity to enjoy this park now is a great time to do it! One of our first volunteer days was to help plant a native garden….here we are on September 14th helping to maintain it.
